to crave honey

I let life sting me, the bee I fear most.
I let it all hum in my ears, a present warning,
A retribution for the honey I seek,
My hands grow sticky with it.
I let him sting me too, blinded.
He let me close enough to see his wings,
Until the buzzing became a ceiling fan
That lulled me into gentle sleep.
I let my mind become a hive
Where all the larvae rest,
To hatch and sting my mind, till death,
A retribution for the honey I seek.
