should we call a truce?
I look for signs in cards with cups
Only to be shown swords pierced
Straight through the heart
In a perfect triple of blades
I look for signs between empty lines
You’ve never been much of a poet
To leave me with nothing but questions
Makes sense I’ve always liked riddles
But I find myself growing tired of uncertainty
These days my poker face is cracking
Under the weight of time like my grandmother’s deck
Left abandoned and unplayed for some holidays now
So show me your cards or even just one
Or I will fold with chips in my cardboard
And no one can win this game
Should we call a truce?
